What is Laparoscopic Surgery?

Laparoscopic surgery uses a tool called a laparoscope to perform minimally invasive surgical procedures. Laparoscopic surgery causes little postoperative discomfort and minimal recovery time as compared to conventional open surgery. A laparoscope is a small instrument with an attached camera. Dr. Leibman inserts it into your body through tiny incisions so that he is able to see tissue that is damaged or needs to be removed. The camera projects a large image onto a screen in the operating room, so the doctor gets a better view of the inside of your reproductive organs and can complete your procedure with absolute precision.

What is Hysterectomy Surgery?

Hysterectomy is a way of treating problems that affect the uterus. A hysterectomy is major surgery, that happens only after other treatment options have not improved the patient's problems. There are different types of hysterectomy: Total Hysterectomy, Supracervical Hysterectomy, and Radical Hysterectomy.
